Streaming on a Work Computer
Why web player is best for work computers
No installation required — IT will not detect an app. No admin rights needed. Works in any browser. Nothing stored on the computer after you close the browser.
Use incognito or private mode
Open Chrome Incognito or Edge InPrivate. This prevents the web player URL from appearing in your browser history and autocomplete. Close the window when done.
Clear history after viewing
After streaming, clear your browser history for the session. In Chrome: History > Clear browsing data > Last hour. This removes all traces.
Use headphones
Always use headphones when streaming on a work computer. Computer speakers can be heard by coworkers.
Be aware of IT monitoring
Your employer may monitor network traffic. A VPN can help, but check your company policy. Streaming on a work computer is not recommended for long sessions.
