Connect Laptop to TV via HDMI for Streaming

HDMI is the simplest and most reliable way to watch browser streaming on your TV. Here is how.

Connect Laptop to TV via HDMI for Streaming

What you need

An HDMI cable (any length). A laptop with an HDMI port or adapter. A TV with an available HDMI port. That is it.

Step 1: Connect the cable

Plug one end of the HDMI cable into your laptop. Plug the other end into your TV HDMI port. Note which HDMI number you used.

Step 2: Switch TV input

Use your TV remote to switch to the HDMI input you connected to (HDMI 1, HDMI 2, etc.). Your laptop screen should appear on the TV.

Step 3: Open web player

Open your browser on the laptop. Navigate to the web player URL. Enter credentials. Start playing. The video appears on your TV.

Step 4: Adjust display

On Windows: Win+P > Extend or Duplicate. On Mac: System Settings > Displays > Arrange. Choose to mirror or extend your display.

Audio via HDMI

HDMI carries both video and audio. If no sound on TV: Windows — right-click speaker icon > Playback devices > select HDMI. Mac — System Settings > Sound > Output > select HDMI.
