Streaming on a phone is convenient but the screen is small. Here is how to set it up and cast to a bigger screen.

How to Stream on a Phone

iPhone streaming setup

Open Safari. Navigate to the web player URL. Enter credentials. The web player adapts to mobile screen. Tap AirPlay to send to Apple TV.

Casting from phone to TV

iPhone: AirPlay to Apple TV or AirPlay-compatible TV. Android: Chromecast to Chromecast device or Chromecast-enabled TV. This gives you the convenience of phone controls with TV screen size.

Use WiFi for streaming — cellular can buffer and use data caps. Rotate to landscape for full screen. Use headphones for better audio. Keep phone plugged in during long sessions.
