Smart TV Browser Streaming Guide

If you do not want to install apps or buy an external device, your Smart TV's browser can stream. Here is how.

Smart TV Browser Streaming Guide

Samsung TV browser

Open the Samsung Web Browser. Navigate to the web player URL. Enter credentials. Samsung browsers can be slow — if buffering occurs, try an external device.

LG TV browser

Open the LG Web Browser. Navigate to the web player URL. Enter credentials. LG webOS browsers vary in speed by model year.

Android TV browser

Open Chrome or the built-in browser on Android TV. Navigate to the web player URL. Enter credentials. Android TV browsers are generally faster than Samsung or LG.

Smart TV browser limitations

Smart TV browsers have less RAM than phones or computers. They can buffer more, crash more, and have fewer features. If your TV browser struggles, an external device like Firestick is the solution.

Tips for Smart TV browser streaming

Close other apps on the TV. Clear the browser cache before streaming. Use a wired Ethernet connection if possible. Lower streaming quality if buffering occurs.
