Browser Streaming Privacy Guide
Is browser streaming safe?
Yes. The web player uses HTTPS encryption. Your credentials are sent securely. No software is installed on your device. When you close the browser, no data remains.
Use Incognito/Private mode
Incognito mode prevents the web player URL from appearing in your history and autocomplete. Open Incognito, stream, close the window. No trace.
VPN for privacy
A VPN encrypts all your browser traffic so your ISP cannot see what you are streaming. This adds a layer of privacy on top of the web player's built-in HTTPS.
Clear browser data after streaming
After streaming, clear your browser data for the session. Chrome: History > Clear browsing data > Time range: Last hour. This removes cookies, cache, and history.
Avoid public WiFi without VPN
Public WiFi (coffee shops, airports) is not secure. If you stream on public WiFi, use a VPN. Without a VPN, others on the same network could potentially see your activity.
